Just a girl doing hard things and you can be too!
That’s why I’m here!
If I could sit across from my 18-year-old self, I’d look her in the eyes, teary but full of hope, and say, “It gets better.” I’d tell her that life will undo her in ways she can’t imagine—but even in her uncertainty, growth awaits. I’d remind her that she doesn’t need to prove the bullies wrong, that she has a choice: to take up space, to be heard, to be bold. I’d tell her falling is part of the journey and that embarrassment isn’t fatal—it never was and never will be.
“Life is tragic and difficult and annoyingly tainted by malevolence because no matter how tragic and difficult it is, there is always something you or someone could do to make it even more difficult. But you are a being that can transcend it’s problems.”
Hi Bestie! I’m Zee, and I’m so glad you’re here.
I’ve walked through my own ‘rags to riches’ transformation, and I’m passionate about helping others do the same. We all have our own stories filled with pain, triumph, and everything in between. My mission with UnpackedwithZee is to give you the tools, community, and perspective to face hardship head-on and transform it into fuel for a life you love.
Why I’m Passionate About What I Do
As someone who was bullied throughout childhood, the trauma lingered well into adulthood, affecting even the smallest parts of my daily life. My confidence? Gone. My voice? Silenced. But one pivotal moment—watching a YouTube video—shifted my perspective. Since then, I’ve committed my life to helping others change how they view pain, trauma, and hardship, empowering them to rise stronger.
Here’s what you should know about me:
- I love community. I’m the proud founder of an all-women book club where we connect, grow, and create sisterhood—one page at a time.
- I love God. Yes, I’m a church girl and an unapologetic lover of Jesus.
- I love reading. Books have been a refuge and a guide, helping me navigate life’s toughest seasons.
But most importantly, I’m a mom to a beautiful baby girl, a daughter, a friend, a sister, and the coolest cousin to many.
More than anything, I’m a woman who overcame—and I’m here to remind you that you can too. Together, let’s embrace the hard things, redefine what it means to thrive, and live boldly.
Join me on this journey. Let’s unpack, grow, and transform—together.
xoxo,
Zee
